Chicago Children’s Choir has opened a new branch in the Austin Neighborhood (number 10). The neighborhood choirs, which serve youth ages 8 to 18 years old, will rehearse twice a week at Austin Town Hall.
The audition process for Neighborhood Choirs is quick and simple, open to boys and girls in the 3rd grade and up. A conductor will listen for the singer’s ability to match pitch, check any music reading skills, test for basic movement abilities, and hold one’s voice part against others.
Call 312-849-8300 for additional information.
For an account of the opening concert on January 23, see Austin Weekly News Chicago Childrens Choir Story or Chicago Children’s Choir Website.
