- Elizabeth’s Friends (2-4 people) (1 cast)
- Narrator

- Gabriel (cast)
- Joseph
- Innkeeper
- Innkeeper Assistants (2-7 people)
- Shepherds (3 – 15 people)
- Inn Guests (3 – 13 people)
- Crowd Scene – non speaking (any number)
